FAQs
Do you offer a meet and greet?
Yes, I offer a FREE meet and greet for all new customers and strongly encourage it. It’s a great opportunity for me to get to know you and your pet, learn more about them, and answer any questions you may have. I’m happy to meet at a time and location that suits you.
Where will my dog be walked?
What hours do you work?
Saturday services are between 09:00 – 17:00.
Sunday services are between 10:00 – 14:00.
During periods of extreme heat, I offer ad hoc 7:00am bookings to walk dogs safely.
Please note that a 50% surcharge applies to Sunday and bank holiday bookings (available by request).
Do you have a valid DBS and insurance?
Yes. I have an up-to-date DBS and insurance to legally permit me to walk up 6 dogs, transport them to and from your house and protect them against any accidents during my care. I can provide a copy of this if requested.
Do you walk intact males and bitches in season?
Yes. Bitches in season will be walked on a solo basis for their safety and the wellbeing of other dogs. Intact male dogs are welcome but will first be assessed on a solo walk before being gradually introduced to group walks, where suitable.
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellation within 48 hours is free, however cancellation within 24 hours will incur a 50% fee.
What happens at a meet & greet?
Before any service begins, I’d like to meet you and your pet to ensure everything is in place for safe, reliable care.
During the visit, I’ll discuss your pets:
- Health, behaviour and any allergies
- Favourite toys, routines and comforts
- Walking routes and preferences (on/off lead)
- Feeding, medication and home access details (for home visits)
- Emergency contacts and other important information
- Our two-week trial period
What is the 2-week trial about?
All new pets are subject to a 2-week trial period. This allows your pet time to settle into a new routine and ensures that both of you are happy with the service before committing to regular bookings.
What dogs don't you walk?
I do not walk dogs prohibited under UK law or dogs with certain medical conditions that may affect their ability to be walked safely. As my insurance does not cover pre-existing medical conditions, any dog accepted for walks with a pre-existing condition must have its own suitable insurance in place.
How is the duration of your services calculated?
My advertised durations refer to the time spent providing the service. For dog walks, this begins when your dog leaves the van at the walking location and ends when they return. Collection and return are included at no extra cost, so your dog always receives the full walking time booked.
