Hi, I'm Luke, the owner of Woofwise K9.
Dogs, and pets in general, have been a huge part of my life, and caring for them has always been a passion of mine. After spending several years working as a healthcare professional in the NHS, I decided to pursue a career doing something I love.
I have many plans for the business and I’m looking forward to seeing how the journey unfolds. 🐾
What I Bring
I provide calm, reliable care tailored to each pet’s individual needs and routine. My positive-led approach focuses on building trust through patience, understanding and positive reinforcement. I don't use slip leads as a corrective tool or rely on forceful handling methods, as I believe every pet deserves to feel safe and comfortable in my care.
Whether I’m walking, visiting or pet sitting, my aim is to give owners peace of mind knowing their pets are being cared for with patience, attention and genuine understanding.
Secure Pet Transport
My dedicated pet transport van has been professionally fitted with safety and comfort in mind. Each pet travels in an individual, secure crate, and every journey is carefully planned to minimise travel time and provide a safe, comfortable and calm experience.
My Expertise
I've always had a passion for dogs, having grown up with them. I spent 6 years volunteering as a dog walker with The Cinnamon Trust alongside my previous full-time job. During that time, I realised how much I enjoyed working with dogs and decided to take the leap and start my own pet care business.
I'm currently working towards a Level 3 Award in Canine Care, Behaviour & Wellbeing, and plan to expand Woofwise K9’s services to include canine dental hygiene, dog training and behavioural support in the future.
My side-kick
At the heart of the logo is Leo, my 15 month-old Miniature Poodle, whose friendly nature and love of learning inspired the Woofwise K9 brand. Training with Leo, including attending weekly Kennel Club Good Citizen classes and recently achieving his Silver Award, has strengthened my understanding of canine behaviour and reinforced my belief that every dog can thrive through patient, consistent, reward-based training.
